How far appart do the rollers need to be on a trailer for a Nacra 5.0? Is the Nacra 5.0 the same width as a Hobie 16? Is there any reason why a Hobie 16 trailer might not work for a Nacra 5.0? Thank you.

The 500 is wider but the asymetry of the Hobie means that the rollers are the same distance apart. Trailer will be fine

just check what kind of rollers it has

the h16 has very solid knife keels of frp

so normal hard rubber boat rollers are fine

the nacra 500 has a wide 12

round hull shape

it will go on hard rubber rollers ok but if you ratchet it down on them and bounce a 100miles or so you may damage the hulls

from suggestions on this list? i made nice cradles for my nacra by cutting some 12

sewer? poly pipe in half and then sticking carpet on them

The boat will roll forward with the way the rear of the 5.0 is lifted.(How do I know? been there...) You may need to move the rear rollers(and bracing forward to accomodate.
