ISAF is giving thumbs up for a World Cup within the olympic classes. Following events are selected:

* Sail Melbourne
* Rolex Miami OCR
* Princess Sofia Trophy
* Semaine Olympique Française
* Holland Regatta
* Kiel Week

So one event in the US, one in Australia and five in Europe.. How are the WCs in other events organized? Are they as geographically biased?
Further, what is ISAF hoping to gain from this? I notice that the word

commercially

is mentioned a lot..

The IOC have decided to reduce the number of classes in the games to 10, effectively removing one class. Rumours say that the 470s are going, but it's not been decided yet.
