worrell 1000 twilight zone
ok so i'm rude crude and ...outre. uncouth. 140+ people have viewed my tasteless post and no responses. wow. i guess i must be the only guy on the planet that cares about what is to me the daytona 500 of beach cat sailing. the best coveage so far is team pi's web site, mary thanks for referring me to their site. i am hopeful that the communication will improve. i am used, redneck that i am, of seeing live video of some guys brake rotor overheating at martinsville and i am having a hard time finding a descriptive paragraph about my favorite race. mercy.
We are working our rears off trying to get info to you! Spent big money for satellite that we finally got working (two days late) But we are here.
We have great video and great video people working on it; The problem has been getting the files uploaded.
Just to let you know!

Rick,
I can appreciate what you're going through. As one who relies on technology for my work, I've come to expect that the most likely time for a failure to occur is when you need the technology the most. How often have I sat down to make a quick print before going into a meeting, only to have the printer jam or run out of paper/toner/ink! Not to mention the times I need to get a critical email off to a list of folks and my ISP chokes, etc., etc. (Don't even get me started on the simple task of transferring a phone call.
)
Experience has also taught me to treat my GPS as merely an entertaining backup to charts, a compass, and a watch. Seems that there are a number of GPS boat tracking systems that have failed to work under the conditions.
Anyway, I just wanted to let those on the front lines of the race know that I appreciate any information you can get to us.
P.S. My in-laws live in Stuart and I called them last night asked them to drive over to the beach and take a few photos for me. I hope they enjoy their introduction to the sport.
