Wolfman, I may have an explanation. The water is too HARD there most of the year (LOL). Do you get a lot of ice boats? Cheers Ricardo.

We camp out each year with about 140 boats on the beach and around 210 members

The Netherlands has an amazing number of active beachcat clubs. The one in the original post with 450 beachcats is this one.

Unless you speak Dutch you'll need a browser translator addon, I use Google Chrome which connects well to Google Translate.

Look at the pictures on that page, looks like the Gulf Coast crowd would fit right in with that club!

Beautiful setup, imagine a deal like that on the Gulf Coast.

Take a look at this video from an F18 regatta at the sail-today.nl location. Amazing stuff, look starting at 2:30 to see that they sail with stadium seating, young fans rooting on their favorite sailors, and a PA announcer giving play-by-play of the racing!

It's not much, but its home. For every cat here there are three discarded H16 hulls

Kevin, you can make the links you post "live". Instead of just copying the link & pasting, resulting in a link that each reader has to copy & paste...click on the "URL" button below. It will look like this;(url)(url).
Your cursor will default to the space between the the sets of brackets. Paste your link there, & it will be live.
