Ive been wanting to make use of the empty space in the font of my HC 18. I want to put a cargo net or gear hammock of some sort up there for camping gear for a trip or just a cooler for a cruise. If you guys have any idea of what I could buy to make something like this I would appeciate any help.

thanks ive seen that im not looking for anything that fancy like a front tramp, just a cargo net that i can put up there and trow gear in.
from the image you posted, it looked like you wanted to do something similar to what i have... a panel that runs parallel to the beam.
i wouldn't trust netting for more than a cooler... and make sure its a water tight cooler....
On my h18 i had drilled a few holes in the deck lid overhang so i could lace some bungees into an x shaper and i put a paddle on one side and sometimes a little gear on the other side....
