That riser on top of the hitch is a mount for a removable bicycle carrier. Just realized how far into the car the ball went looking at the side view. 👿
On another note, after waiting and filing a police report on Friday, this morning I have received at least a dozen calls from folks wanting to "protect my victims rights" or "make sure everything is handled properly".
