Anyone make their own line catchers that close off the opening in the tramp where it laces up? We are forever dragging lines that fall through. Some of the tramp companies sell them too.

John,

I cut strips of an old solid tramp and laced it through both the center and rear lacing on a Hobie 18. Worked great to keep the lines on board and had the benefit of reducing the water spray through the center lacing.

Pete, great idea. Now I regret pitching the old torn trampoline end of last season. Rats.

I used a piece of old vinyl house siding, cut to a strip that's the same width as the gap between the tramp halves. Threaded it in between the tramp lacings and drilled a couple holes in the end to zip tie it to the tramp lacing. Works fine.
