i have an older p18. how much would getting a new set of sails improve it's performance? The boat is solid. I hink a new set of sails might run as much as a good used boat though. opinions?

new sails will make a big difference if the old sails are in poor shape (old/stretched, etc)
your choices are endless as to where to get them but you may consider just a new jib to start (depending on your main's condition)
If you get a new main, it may be worth going local so you can bring and rig your cat for the sailmaker so he can make a custom main to match the curve of your mast. this is a big factor in proper fit/function
