Does anyone know of a good sailing app that would chart my sailing route on a given body of water. It would nice to know distance traveled, average speed ect.

Thanks
Jim

i use motion gpx on my iphone

it is very cheap and has some decent but limited features

now that i have a blue tooth stereo on my cat, i save all my battery life for music, no more gps tracks

I use it as well, but it isn't bright enough on my iPhone screen to use on the ocean- I have tried numerous times and failed. So I turn it on and keep it in the hull in a small peanut butter container to record my tracks.
The pb jar is watertight and floats if any water gets in the hull.

I found a free app called Speedometer on my iphone that I've started using while windsurfing and sailing. Gives you current speed, distance travelled and top speed. That's what it's all about right, speed? 😉
