Oh, and in case anyone becomes offended by even a vague reference to a holiday associated with any certain group, please refer to this concise disclaimer to understand that no offense was intended.

Disclaimer, this should cover it.

I'm going to need some help with mine. My wife and kids got a Go Pro Hero Silver for me to capture all the crazy things I do on my Hobie 16. I'm hoping to provide others with some entertainment.

A Milwaukee 8988-20 variable temp heat gun. I'm going to town on the 30 year old hull stripe tape. The heat gun set at 380* F and a putty knife get the tape. An Astro Pneumatic Smart Eraser Pad from Eastwood in a 120v drill with a keyed chuck gets the adhesive residue. It's a slog. Happy New Year, GH

My wife does not know much about boats, to her all Cats are the same, the chit,(card) reads, & I quote,
"(delete the mushy luv U stuff)...so, buy an F16, but not that one for 15K you were looking at on BeachCats, I was thinking the ones you looked at earlier, in Maryland, I liked the one with the smoke sails.
PS can you get one with wings?"
She fell in love with the wings on the 20' Mystere. I thought about an H17, but they just don't do well when the water gets rough, so Blade 16 here I come...anyone know of a good one in the 5K-6.5K range?
I see the 2 advertised here in Maryland are gone.

Well, the hull stripes are history. the final pass was a Scotch Brite green pad and lacquer thinner. This led to a full on hull scrub down. She looks damn good for 30 yrs old. I might have to go in for a compound job.

I got a Pro-Tools MB-105HD bender to build new rudder casings for my F16, hope to be ready to test the prototypes this summer.... not to clean the garage and get ready to do some work.

Nice bender, I had a 105 for building roll cages. Hope you have more in mind for it than just one project though!

Got a set of cleated blocks and a double block for my jib. I just had a single line from the jib to cleats on the front beam before.
