Hey everyone.
I'm interested in building a small catamaran that can be single-handed by a pretty small person (130lbs). I'd like to build out of ply, similar to the original Tornado. I have pretty minimal boatbuilding experience, a bit of woodworking experience, and plenty (I think) of sailing experience.
From a bit of searching around, I'm thinking an A-Class looks like a good choice, especially because there's an active fleet nearby. However, I have no idea...
a) which design I should use.
b) where to get plans.
c) how much it might cost
d) how much time it would take
In other words, how would you get started on a project like this?
