I just joined the forum & this is my first post. I am looking to buy a boat and need some help. Sailed a good bit in college and after, and occaisionally since. Want to buy a boat before my boys get any older & teach them to sail. Have looked at several Hobies and a Prindle in my price range. I live in SC and plan to sail on Lake Marion and Edisto Beach.
I found a used Prindle 18 for under $1K. Everything is in good shape with new tramp, good main sail (plus extra main), ready to sail. However, it has no jib.
Before I buy it, I need to see if I can find a used jib sail. I priced new ones. Not an option.
Any suggestions?

Have only new white ones at $275. Might be a better buy than replacing zipper on an older used one. Pete 909-800-5237

you won't have any trouble finding good used parts for a hobie 16
I will sell you a jib and main, you can see them in my gallery under Beachcats People. They are old, but servicable. I highly recommend saving up for the real deal.
