Hi, i just purchased a 76 SolCat 18 all rigging trailer gear boards etc.$250. ya i found it on craigslist and jumped on it.thye only problem is i need to do a tiny bit of a fiberglass patch no big deal and alot of cleaning no prob either.My question is this did not come with a jib.I have a H14T and have had H16's i know with a jib it does make a difference.but with this being a 18 little bit bigger sail and so on would it sail just fine with out a jib speedwise and handling.Also is there a difference in handling and speed going from assymetrical hulls to symetrical hulls.
Also can any one give me some leads on a jib or some sol-cat info.Thanks
There is a set of solcat sails listed on E-bay, the guy has had them listed for quite a while so he may be ready to drop the price. Main $350, jib $225
