Replacement Line sizes
Hey! New to the forum, but have learned so much here!
This is probably answered elsewhere, multiple times, but once more couldn't hurt? Since I didn't find it easily, here are the Saltydog replacement package line size listed. Hope it helps!
Batten Ties - 3/32” (2mm) x 22” (55.9cm) - White (12)
Downhaul - 3/16” (5mm) x 5’ (152.4cm) - White
Jib Halyard - 3/16” (5mm) x 21' (640.1cm) - White
Jib Sheet - 5/16” (8mm) x 32’ (975.4cm) – White
Main Halyard - 3/16” (5mm) x 28' (853.4cm) - White
Mainsheet - 3/8” (9mm) x 46' (1402.1cm) - White
Outhaul - 3/16” (5mm) x 8’ (243.8cm) - White
Tramp Lace Center - 3/16” (5mm) x 19’ (579.1cm) - White

But I have most consistently seen Tramp lacing with 3/8" shock cord...

I agree. I'd forget the shock cord on the tramp. Instead use a good low stretch line. It is much easier to get the tramp good and tight which is important on a Hobie 16. Plus from my experience, shock cord has a relatively short life. I've purchased rigging kits from Salty Dog in the past and have been very happy with their products. However, the line package you have a link to is for an all aluminum mast. '87 H16's originally came with comp tip masts which use a different main halyard.
There are line and wire guides along with other technical information for Hobies here:

These specs are for newer boats. Hobie has changed line and wire lengths some over the years. For example, newer boats have more mast rake (which is a good thing) which means shorter shrouds and a longer forestay.
Hope this helps.
