Hello cat sailors!
I try to find a design for home-building beachcat. I need 16-18' boat with displasement enough for 250 kg(500-550 pounds) capacity. Such a load is intended for liesure sailing only. Also the boat should be able to fast sail with crew of two, having capacity of 180 kg (380-400 pounds) of crew with one on trapeze and genaker.
No daggerboards are allowed. All wood technologies are accessible. I'd prefer to buy plans from author, not to build with free ones.

I studied Quattro 16 but I am affraid she has too low displacement for my purposes.

What can you advise? I really appreciate competent help, as I am too tired with surfing the Internet.

Reagards,

I wrote to Richard Woods, but there is no reply yet. I think about slightly round hulls with tortured ply technology.

Moreover I'm not so experiesed for change someone design so dramatically 🙄
