iirc G-cat beams are made from hobie mast extrusions and (stock) g-cat masts are too

With one major difference: The beam that supports the mast has an "I-beam" inside it and that reinforcement makes a "dolphin striker" unnecessary. I don't know if that's a good thing or not.
