WETA - damaged - looking for help
Someone on Facebook market place said this is a good forum to reach people. I am new and scaling a boat for my 83 year old father.
He about the WETA 5-6 years ago. He bought it new. The trailer and boat are titled in my name.
A wind storm blew over a tall pine tree that damaged the boat. I want to keep it from land fill and hopefully be a good person and find the right person looking for a project or parts for their boat ..
I posted pictures here

It is in Spokane Washington. Any help, advice, or sympathy is appreciated.
I’m not verse in boat vocabulary. Walk me through your questions and I respond as best I can.
Sure, if what you're talking about is the little Weta trimaran, you may have come to the right place.
Posting some pictures (properly) would certainly help - for whatever reason, the forum appears not to like the link you provided.
Glad to hear it!Posted by: @needleinhaystackSomeone on Facebook market place said this is a good forum to reach people. I am new and scaling a boat for my 83 year old father.
@needleinhaystack Since you just registered, you first post went to moderation and the link was removed. Now you should be able to post a new reply with the photos.
Even better, post a classified ad with all the details and gain a private contact form so that interested buyers can contact you directly.
I removed the Facebook market place post. I'm trying to cover my dad's medical expenses. In The Beach Cats website, what would be a good way to find out the a fair amount to ask for a boat with significant damage? Would I load pictures here and ask your community what they think?
I would post pictures of the damaged areas, and of the whole boat, and also of the trailer.
Very few people will likely respond to a damaged boat in need of a lot of specialized repair, so it might be best to just say 'best offer takes it.'
If no takers for the whole boat within the time frame that you would like, you might be able to part-out (sell) the parts of the boat individually that didn't sustain any damage, such as an ama, the cross-beams (akas), rudder, daggerboard/centerboard, rigging, mast, sails, whatever.
I'm guessing that you didn't have any insurance on the boat, and your home insurance won't cover the damages?
