I will be visiting Oahu (West Coast)in late November and am looking for some advice. A friend that will be traveling with us is desperate to get some instruction on a Hobie cat whilst we are there. He is already an experienced sailor on 40ft yachts and Lazer, Mirror racing dinghys.
Please could someone advise me of any places that provide rental/instruction on Oahu. It is this guys 40th birthday at the weekend, so if I could arrange it before then it would make a great present!

Sorry to say that I do not know of any cat rentals on Oahu.
Try the hotels. Call the Oahu Hobie dealer to see if he has any leads.
Just found a guy last weekend who rents a Hobie 16 & 14 off the beach in Kailua. Experienced sailors only, $200/day.
