Best method to repair "footstrap"
Hello All,
Today I managed to chip-out a portion of the starboard hull cap/rim where the
footstrap
is. Being curious, I checked the Hobie 16 assembly manual for the proper reference and found that this item was probably added by one-of-two previous owners.
The first image:

Would anyone have a suggestion as to the best repair? I think the fiberglass would need to be re-structured to handle the expected stress.
This message is also posted on the Hobie 16 forum.
Thanks in advance,
Eric
