[#16244]

When getting ready to put Hobie 16 (1982) away for winter (Yuc) noted that the stiker post has come up through the bottom of the mast step. Post is threaded but cannot see where the female part (nut) of the thread is to be. Looked at friends deck and can see what looks like the top of the post but his is not loose like mine. I can lift up on striker and the top of post comes up by an inch. Guess the mast will hold it in place but still would like to know how to repair during the winter.
Help and thanks

Replace the step casting. The post threads directly to it.

Use stainless or Monel. Order them from Hobie if you need to. Or you can order them from McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com).

Yep. Certainly not aluminum rivets.

Order from any Hobie Dealer.
