When I asked Rick and Mary to start this forum I just wanted a place that H16 sailors could come and talk without being attacked, as the open forum become a place at times to bash H16 sailors. Well I think we all can appreciated this forum and I hope we will seek to expand this forum by letting other H16 sailors or interested individuals know about it.
It has been asked a few times throughout this forum to see if we can get some well known H16 sailors to come to here and I think maybe this should be the next phase of this forum. So I have sent emails to Wally Myers and Mike Strahle (H16 Trapseat World Champion) asking them if at times they can give us input. I also think it would be a good idea to help those well known H16 sailors not waste time having to search through the many posts to find the question we want them to answer. Maybe we could highlight our questions in our subject line of a main post with the words or word "Ask Those That Know" or just in caps "QUESTION". Then we can let those well know sailors know the key word or words. The trick is using the same word or words every time we post questions for them. Of course they can read all the posts in any line but I think many of these busy sailors would appreciated the effort we made to make it easy for them to find the questions we really want answered. Therefore I think we will need to make a strong effort to work together to create a system of identification for the well know H16 sailors and maybe even the questions, etc.
So what do you all think or am I getting to into this to much, and to complicated?
There could be some fair 16 sailors already reading these posts. You never quite know do you?
Yes there are already some good H16 sailors posting here as a know a few of them but getting some well known H16 racers to post here would be great as well. I was only asking if there was some interested in doing this. So what in the heck is your problem, woke up on the wrong side of the bed did you?
I am sorry about my comments regarding getting up on the wrong side of the bed that was extremely rude of me. Please accept my apology h16bill. As for my idea to bring top of the line sailors to the forum, I was not intending to suggests that those posting were not top of the line, yet I know it came across that way. I was just thinking a list of questions by those interested to be submitted would be a good idea, yet I guess it was a very bad idea, based on the response. Once again please accept my apology as I really am a nice guy (I think), and sure do not want this hobie 16 forum to become a name calling forum. Sometimes I put my foot in it and then it sticks!
