[#13530]

Hello, My h16 was wrecked in a storm last summer and i have some parts left over. I'm going to put them on ebay but thought i would offer them here first.

-Both rails with new no slip foam glued on
-front and rear beams (rear has new style car, no castings)
-rudder assembly w/o rudders
-mast
-boom
-2 black EPO rudders with small thumb size damage to top corner where bolt hole is
-1 white plastic rudder

The mast has a very slight bow to it with a small dent on the leading edge near the top; still very sailable. The boom and rudder assemblies are in good condition and are silver. The rudder assemblies have new cams i just put on. There aren't any corner castings as those were the week points and broke. Both front and rear beams are in great condition. Rails are in great condition. White rudder is only slightly used and has a little staining. I can post pics of the EPO rudders if needed. The damage resemblies someone taking a bite out of the top back corner. The mast is located in Washburn WI (norther WI near apostle islands) while the rest is in Duluth MN. If anyone is interested in these parts email me at Wrinkledpants@hotmail.com and make an offer.

Thanks all and happy sailing!!

Reid Rechel

I still haven't got up to Duluth, yet. If you still got the sails, I might be interested. The couple that bought a used Hobie last year, decided to repair their sails for $150. They wanted to keep the colors, instead of having white sails.-So that slowed my interest in getting a look at your sails.

Are the rudder castings in great shape, or are they worn?

Yes unfortunatly the sails are gone. I think the rudder castings were in good shape. I'm heading home this weekend so i can take some pictures if you'd like. ~Reid

No need for pictures, as I would want to see them up close and personal. As usual, I'm in no rush, so if you get an offer, SELL! I really do need to get up to Duluth and visit some friends I've been neglecting. I'll e-mail you, when I'm going up. My castings are quite worn where metal meets metal. Its affecting how the rudder cams work. It might be possible to wire feed some aluminum on and file. The boat is getting quite worn. My other hull delaminated last fall and I have to epoxy inject that one this spring.

The EPO rudders are sold. I still have everything else though. I don't think i would be able to sell the mast since it's hella expensive to ship. So if anyone out there needs a mast, let me know and you can have it for free. I would feel bad just throwing out a descent mast. ~Reid

It finally got up to the 70 degree mark, Thursday! Perfect epoxy weather. I injected my hull, Thursday. Friday was in the 70's also, to complete any remaining curing. Now, I just need to install the tramp and I'm ready to sail! If I start cursing the rudder cams, that could speed me up for a trip to Duluth for parts.
