Thinking about installing a righting pole on my H16. I was looking through the class rules and I can't find anywhere where it says that they are not legal for racing as long as they are used for righting purposes only.

I always thought that they weren't class legal? Anyone have an answer?

Go for it schoobie, if it does turn out class illegal then just don't tip over when racing! easy. If you do slip up I'd imagine most hobie racers aren't going to make a song and dance about it unless your at a big event in which case you could seek advice from the race commitee or retire gracefully from that race. At the end of the day your out to have fun and if that means carrying extra leverage for your righting I reackon thats fair enough.
Just my humble opinion.
