When traveling to a new lake, do you usually
a) Rig the boat on the trailer, then launch her down the boat ramp like everyone else?
b) Take boat off trailer on the shore, rig her and then push her out into the water?
c) Do something else entirely?

This past weekend we took our 16 to a State Park Lake. Ididn't use the boat ramp and, instead, slid her off the trailer, rigged her, and then slid her into the water.
Hard work!
I did the same getting her out of the water and, of course, that was even more difficult!
Cheers,
Nick

I have been rigging on the trailer away from the ramp so I can take my time. Depending on wind speed and direction, I will either raise the jib and main either fully or only partially and then launch.

Matt:
Once you're rigged, do you take the boat off the trailer and slide her into the water or back the trailer down the ramp and launch her like any other boat?

I almost always rig with teh boat off the trailer if there is a beach around. Otherwise you are pretty much forced to throw the mast up on the trailer.

cattrax are nice to have, but are over priced.
