Has any body replaced their masthead on a pre comp tip mast. I am looking for any tips you might have on the procedure. Thanks Chuck

You can email Matt Miller of Hobie Cat USA as he is great with H16 info. You can email him by entering the Hobie USA web site. Also I do believe there is an article about it at the www.catsail.com web site in the archives, or just email them at that site to find it. I will try to locate an official article but I think someone will answer it before I find it. Hope I was helpful.

Chuck,

Are you replacing you mast tip with the original or a comp tip. If you are looking for an original, I have one with the cable in my Hobie Stuff Box.

Thanks David, I am replacing it with an original masthead. I found one at Murrays and its on its way to me. My halyard is wedged between the pully and the housing, I hope I can free it so I can use it again. I'll try looking in the archives for that article Big Surf mentioned but if any body has any tips i'll take em. Chuck
