does anyone know if the comptip mast head fits on the old style aluminum masts?
The answer is no. I live in Fort Lauderdale and have a number of mast heads from all aluminum mast if you need one. Call me at 954-981-8445
thank you for the offer, but i don't actually need the mast head. i want to install the wave mast flotation device and it's easier on the new heads. otherwise you have to drill and tap, which would be fine except they are small screws (like 440 or something) and i have a terrible habit of breaking taps. so i though i'd save the trouble of breaking a tap inside my mast head. but i guess that won't work.
I put one of those floats on mine. Took all of 15 minutes to drill, Tap and install.
thanks for the advice all...i guess i'll give the tapping a try.
