i don't know if it is called rake or something else, but my mast seems to be leaning way back. is this correct or should i tighten up the shrouds and forstay to get more of a 90 deg. angle versus the hulls?

FAT CAT

THE MAST ON A 16 SHOULD BE RAKED BACK AS FAR AS YOUR SAILS WILL ALLOW.

WITH A SNUG JIB HALYARD TENSION, SHEET IN THE MAIN BLOCK TO BLOCK AND ON THE BEACH THE TOP 2-3 PANELS SHOULD BE SLIGHTLY HOOKED. MOVE THE SIDE STAYS UP OR DOWN AS REQUIRED TO SET MAIN.

MAKE SURE THAT AFTER THE MAIN IS SET THE JIB IS ADJUSTED SO THAT IT IS SNUG EQUALLY ON THE FOOT AND LEACH WHEN IT IS BROUGHT BLOCK TO BLOCK.

SAIL FAST

MATT
