[#12139]

I just installed a new tramp and notice the sides are slightly bent inward. Is this a bad thing?

Hi,
This year I put new hiking straps on my tramp and when I put the tramp back in I used some plastic gizmos called Trentec Tramp Clamps. They are sold through Hobie and are good for securing the tramp in the aluminum castings and prevent slippage in worn areas. They are also suppossed to tighten the tramp up some which is a good thing almost always. If you are concerned about the tramp dipping down too much, they might be a good addition.

Yes, I used them and the tramp tigtening tool from Murrays, which works really well by the way. The tramp doesn't dip, it's so tight the side bars are bent inward about 2 inches. I was wondering if I overtightned the tramp.
