Hello all. I am getting a new tramp made my a local sail shop that uses a neoprene type material. I've saw it on one other boat and it held up great! it will be a standard three piece. I was going to have him put a slim pocket up front for the jib halyard. Does anyone have any ideas that might be nice to add to it? I saw an h16 with both trap lines running through grommets that were placed at the edge of the tramp. Has anyone had any experience with this setup? Thanks everyone!!

how would you adjust the jib when hiking out? wouldn't the line always be wet? i am confused about this setup sounds great or terrible depending on the unknowns

i think you misunderstood. the jib halyard goes in the pocket not the sheet. its common rather than having your halyard line rolled up and hanging off the bottom of the mast. unless your aclass super sailor man with your ausie jib halyard you dont adjust rake from out on the trap.

Sounds good to me. I use the cleats on my mast for halyard storage. What about adding snaps to the tramp about an inch in from the lacing, along the entire length, for a piece of material to cover the lacing and provide a baffle for the water. That's my next experiment.
