I have a 1998 Hobie 16 with a year 2000 main and a year 2001 jib. All white. This boat is in excellent condition. I am trying to determine what a good selling price would be without a trailer. Any suggestions would be great.
I'd expect to pay $4000. a trailer cost about $800 to fabricate or buy from a dealer. you have to figure, to buy a 2002 you're lookin at $6-7000.

Well when it come's to the price of hobie it normaly comes down to what type of condition the boat is in. If the boat has no soft spots and nothing wrong with the boat the boat would be worth about 4-6 thousand(australian). I had benn looking for a hobie 16 around this age but i allso looked at other size and age boats and i came past a 10 year old hobie 16 in the news paper and well i fell in love with it. they were asking for $1800 but we got it for $1600. The boat is in great condition and is very light (as light as a new one) it also came with a good trailer. But the price is realy in the eye of the byer and owner.
