Have any of guys tried using the Abranet sanding system, it is very very good for sanding glass epoxy and it will cut the whiskers off Kevlar unlike normal sanding pads. I have to say I'm very impressed, the blocks will vacumn up all sanding swarf to such an extent that I've stopped using a respirator and now only use a dust mask, plus it seems to require only half the effort to sand areas, too much pressure on the block actually reduces the cutting action. Also the pads are like the Duracell Bunny, they just keep going and going and going.

The downside is the sytem seems expensive at first but to put things into perspective I use about 10 pieces of sanding paper to 1 Abranet.

Although only just starting to use it, I can understand the supplying dealers words

once you start using it, its hard to go back to any thing else

I'm also led to beleive that Abranol is the finer grades ( up to 4000 grit ) and can be used as per wet and dry paper for sanding primer etc.

Thanks for the tip. I have seen it advertised but haven't tried it. In the US I found a good source for abrasives is www.supergrit.com They carry Abranet and just about any other kind of abrasive at significant discounts.
