What are tools of choice for getting a fair curve on convex surfaces. I've had fair success with the flexible hook-it board, and one homemade tortured plywood board. Are there better options out there?

Regards
Chet

Not really. There are some large rotary options to stick in the end of drills, but they're generally not considered better than torture boards in terms of speed or results.

I've had good look with a DA Sander. They work well for your rough work. They take a good air compressor to push enough air to run it.
