RWS

RWS stands for Raft With a Sail. It's a put down the leaners use for all catamarans. Predictalby, it upset me when I first heard it, but then I thought, why not?
My idea is to build a couple of very simple hulls to support the Sunfish rig. I've been sailing Sunfish lately and they are a lot of fun. This boat would borrow from the small Wharrams in that it would come apart very easily for transport and would only lash together. This would make it a very small storage package that could be coupled with a micro camping trailer (there are lots of those on the net) I imagine using a motorcycle type trailer.
I'm not getting any younger and my days on the F16 are coming to an end. I'll be lucky to get two more good years on it. I've considered the Wave and the Weta as replacements but they just aren't satisfactory to me.
So, what do you think?
Just get a couple of sailboard race boards from the 90's like the Mistal Equipe II (sp?) they were light weight (36 lbs), fast 12'-3" long, something like 235 liters volume... and out of style so there should be a lot of them floating around in peoples garages.
A couple of them would make a hot little cat. They already have high effiency centerboards, so that part is already taken care of...I doubt if you could build anything as fast and light on the cheap.
