I tried a Hobie Wave for the first time and liked it but had trouble figuring out how to attach/ where to place the beach wheels. If I tie them to the side stays it's too forward. Any ideas?

I've always tied them to the shrouds (side stays), and it's pretty well balanced for lifting from the back. If you're trying to push the bows down, I could maybe see that location being a problem.

The best set up is use cradles, then get a handle

That way you don't have to go from side to side to tie. Just slip the trax under the bows to about the humps and go.., no tieing. We are all using that now.
Hint: the handle attaches with delron rollers, so the cradles will keep going upside down. So through bolt them right side up

Tied to the shrouds with enough slack to let the wheels move aft to the balance point... that is the basics. You can add a short line to tie the middle of the beach wheels axel to the aft beam to hold them aft.

Like Rick said, cradles (critical) and a

T

handle work well.
