Recently purchased a wave se (not yet assembled). The instructions for tramp assembley instruct installation of 4 eye straps on the front and rear crossbars. Do holes need to be drilled into the crossbar for this? Does anyone have a pic of the placement for the eye straps? Is it recommended to go ahead and get the 3 piece tramp now?
Thanks <img src=

Holes should already be there. Look under the crossbars, inboard of the hull flanges. As for the lace-up tramp, it will be easier to install now, although not a crisis to remove the classic tramp and do the upgrade later. You will have to dis-assemble the cat to do it, however.

There are 2 pre-installed rivited eye straps on the bottom of the front cross bar, nothing on the rear and no holes either. <img src=

Two on the bottom are for the righting line.

The 4 that have to be installed are slid into the tramp track after the tramp. There are square nuts that slide into the track. Slide the hulls on the crossbars then position the eye straps at the outmost edge of the crossbars against the hull.

Matt,

Another parts source question. Where can the square nuts be purchased? TIA

Any Hobie dealer has access to our parts, but these are not really a Hobie Specific part.
