Looking to get into sailing and have a chance to get my hands on a Wave if I can ship it+the trailer across country? Does anyone have advice on who does this kind of shipping?
It would be expensive to use a freight carrier, but it may be the only way.

Thanks for the input. Any suggestions on good carriers for such a task? Found one boat transporter who quoted me $1200!

Just FYI for next person bewildered by this problem. Roadway is a possibility with a couple of considerations. They will only ship a sailboat in a sealed trailer (read: very expensive. $1700 on this quote for a wave!). So for standard wave you would need to take it apart and box it up and ship via Roadway (find yourself a friend with a corporate account, it will save a lot. Boxed up, this would have been only a few hundred dollars). Unfortunately, this is no solution for a trailer.
In my case I got lucky with a boat hauler who had an open slot on a trailer going from Seattle to FL and did the job cheaply after some negotiation. Recommend you get on the web and get quotes from a few. Might find a deal if you have time flexibility
