Is it possible to take a hobie 14 jib and put it on the wave. If so, i think the wave could compete against the hobie 14's. With a trapeze and the hooter it will probaly crush it considering rick beat hobie 16's with it.

There just doesn't seem to be enough room for a jib with the present layout of the Wave. The mast is so far forward and that only leaves room for a sliver of a jib. I had one made and it is pretty useless. On DPN you would take a big hit and gain very little speed.

Even on the H14, the jib is not that much help.., although it does make the boat tack faster and easier.

I agree, the jib doesn't help much and it kills you on handicap. However, it is a hundred times easier to tack. I'm faster on my 14 uni than the Turbo guys and I correct over them to boot.

If you want a big performance boost and if you want to sail with the F14s, get one of Rick's hooters. He has the system worked out for the Wave.
