Outer Banks Wave Event!
A little reminder that Nor'Banks will be hosting another Wave event from September 25-27. 3 days of racing at a great location. NOR will be up shortly as the season just ended here and I can get to work on one. Coolest Wave T-Shirt in the works for the regatta participants. My staff is reconvening that weekend to race with and against Megan.
I will be there. Will there be early sign-up? Camping?
Most of the Put-in-Bay, OHIO Fleet is planning on attending, and just talked to the Woodruffs from FL, who also will be there. So, what is the excuse for not going because you are in Ohio? We have about 10 of us in Ohio right now that will be there.
The Key Largo Fleet and the Sandy Hook Fleet never want to leave home for some reason. Too bad.., they miss a lot of great sailing.
See ya soon,
Rick
Hey, glad this was posted.
Everything is stock on my Wave except the traveler.
How do you handle the traveler?
Hoping to just come down and sail that weekend anyway...
I actually live in NC, (my parents live about 10 min from Nor'Banks as well) but we'll be up in OH that weekend for a family get together (yearly Oktoberfest thing for my wife's side of the family)
Next year I'll charter a boat and race it for sure.
Here is the NOR and I do have possible charter boats available if anyone is interested. PM me for more details. Looking like a good crew coming down from Ohio and North Carolina along with some OBX locals. Should be a fun weekend and some great sailing.

There this weekend. This is a great location to sail and it is the end of the season and fairly calm.

Beginning of the day
One question though. I talked with an H16 local who said they were racing there also. If so, setting up could be a traffic jam -- not to mention leaving boat overnight, if possible.
Could Rick not race and be traffic warden <img src="<>/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin" height="15" width="15" />
Unfortunately, I likely will not be there until late Friday. Is it ok to hang out and aim to come in last every race? Gotta let the family sail too.
Edit: I meant
calm
like crowds. Winds were great.
There is no H-16 event on the location and we have plenty of room for everyone. Winds looks good with 15-20 NE on Friday, 15 E on Saturday and Sunday going Southerly at 10-20. Should make for some great sailing and we still have a couple of Charter Boats available if anyone is interested.
