Pensacola Beach Yacht Club sponsered the annual
Race for the Roses
regatta yesterday.
All of us aboard the committee boat got to enjoy watching the 10 WAVE's duel it out in light to medium winds.
Racing was close with first place going to Betsy Whitehurst with two firsts and two seconds! Patrice Couch took second with Paula Smythe taking third (with 16 points each).
Susan Newkirk walked away with the last race and nailed down fourth place in a tie with fifth place finisher Susan Whitehurst (with 17 points each).
A good time was had by all the participants. The WAVEs were a hit with everyone there.
