Just sailed today, light wind, no waves and practiced righting the wave. it was not easy to do, but got better each time i did it. i am 6 4, 210.
my concern would be in rough. 2-4 ft waves, 15-20knot winds that i often sail on in lake michigan. have not dumped it yet but have come very close, which makes this boat so thrilling. so a couple of questions.
1. have any of you not been able to right your wave?
2. using only stock equipment on the wave, what is the best way to right the boat and how do you attach the righting lines to the boat?
3. what aftermarket accesories are best to help in these conditions.

Normally, it takes little weight to right a Wave (-100 lbs). At 210 and 6' 4" it should be VERY easy. The mast is short. Normally, I just grab the tramp lace and up it comes.
Do you have the mast float? Without a float, and the boat turtles... yes, very hard to right beacuse it is VERY stable and even more stable upside down.
Other than that? Water in the mast? Water in the Float?
Shouldn't even require a righting line for you at 210, but the standrad line (15') ties to each end of the forward crossbar. Slack tucks into the tramp pocket.
I am with Matt.., I am about the same size and usually just grab the lacing. The heavy righting line provided allows for much lighter people to right the boat. Just toss it over the top hull and lean back at 45 degree angle.
It is best to try and get the bow pointed into the wind as close as possible. Just stand on the bow and the wind will usually swing the stern around downwind. Once there, lean back and it should pop right up.
