Wave Midwest Championships NOR, Don't miss it
Just got the NOR for the Wave Midwest Championships. Don't miss this regatta -- Skip goes way out of his way to show you a great time.
Every year he gets passes to the garages just before the Indy 500, and this year may even get passes for the whole enchilada.

I am there on old number 16 and hope to bring a few more Waves from Div 7. Also, we scheduled a Hobie 16 start at this Mayor's cup as well and are bringing in a Guest Expert for rigging and tuning session on friday night (for the 16s, he won't be much help with the waves.....)

I sure hope it warms up before then! Last year, Sunday morning was pretty chilly. I'm glad I was able to find my wetsuit booties.
I normally sail across town on Geist Reservoir. I'm the only Wave in my club, but I'll encourage some of our H16 sailors to join in. We're getting together to re-build our Hobie Beach this weekend; I'm hoping I don't drive the tractor into the lake!
Another fun Mayor's Cup Regatta is history! And the Wave Class made a Great showing.
Congrats to Skip Kaub - 1st Place, Patrick Green - 2nd Place, and Mike Fahle - 3rd Place! And to Doug Waugh for 1st Place in the Silver Fleet. AND because we had the biggest fleet with 12 boats, Skip also won the
Mayor's Cup
(but it looked like an embroidered jacket to me).
Saturday there was almost no wind, so we only got in one race. Sunday was better, with two solid races.
I flew my spin-brella on Saturday, but it didn't help much (I still came in last). I knew it was illegal, but I wanted to see if anyone would protest it, just to see what they wrote on the protest form! It brought a chuckle to most of the competitors, and that's better than a victory to me.
