The Wave North Americans will held on a beautiful shelf island in western Lake Erie that is famous for sailing -- it has been the home of the I-LYA Bay Week Regatta (the largest fresh-water regatta in the world since the turn of the last (that is the previous Last) century!

We have some really great sailors trying to attend but we are in bad need of boats that they can charter. If any one has a Wave that they would like to make a few bucks on (I am sure they won't get damaged), Please post on this Forum, the Old Forum, or even the Wave Forum that you have something available and your location. That is, if you can't make it the regatta yourself.

Here is a flyer and NOR for the NAs:

Thanks,

Rick

Two more Waves have been located. Kirk Newkirk of Key Sailing has two that would be good for charter. Key Sailing is located in Pensacola Beach, FL.

If anyone is coming to the Hobie Wave North Americans from that area, I am sure someone would help with your expenses if you could transport these boats to and from the venue.

The sad part is that the race organizers, Jim Frederick and Deb Schaefer, have worked themselves to death over this and can't find boats for themselves.

A little compassion out there?!?!?!?!?!
