I saw an add in the paper today for a 2005 Wave with trailer for $4500. Is that a decent price?

If there is a Hobie dealer in Maui, you would have to ask what they get for a brand new Wave and brand new trailer. Also, the type of trailer can make a big difference in price.

P.S. From all I have heard about the winds in Hawaii, it sounds like a perfect place for the Wave.

The Hobie dealer here, like the car dealers, does not price anything realistically. They wanted $6500 over MSRP plus $4000 for shipping when I was looking for a H20. And that was IF they decided they'd actually want to sell me one. Buuu bye!

Do you know what retail for a Wave is?

The winds here do tend to blow like stink. Today's forecast calls for 10 to 20 mph. That's below average. Maybe you and Rick should consider West Maui for a national championship regatta? There's lots of hotels to pick from and Prindle/Airport beach is a quarter mile from the windline.
