Hi,
I'm new to sailing and just bought a wave. Would any have any recommendations on a wind direction indicator that is easy to install and works well on the wave.

Thanks

I've considered 3 types of wind vanes, all cheap but am leaning toward the Telo-Cat. All are available from Davis or West Marine, see...

I have not bought one yet, and probably won't. If I do use something, it will be a piece of yard tied to my shroud, but it won't ever replace a licked finger held in the air. Only since I bought my Wave, have I started to utilize Tell-Tels. By far, I consider them to be the most useful piece of equipment on my boat.

Happy Sailing.

Try Abba on 8-track!

On the serious side, and even though I sell all those fancy wind direction gadgets on our onlinemarinestore.com, I still recommend 8-Track tape or reel-to-reel tape (same size) and put them on each side of the bridal and on the sidestays.
Cassett tape is too jittery.

Good luck,
Rick
