There are a few of us out here. Our big race is the Around Shelter Island regatta. It's on July 12 this year. We're always looking for new people out here. Check out our website at LICSA.org We're overdue for a meeting to schedule events for the upcoming sailing season. Greg

No!! It will get heavier and slower as it absorbs water and things start growing on the hulls. In addition, your mast base and rigging will take a beating as the wind and waves rock and roll your boat. It's also not as much fun to wade out into the bay to retrieve your boat each time to set the sails to go out. I'd recommend finding a place where you can keep it on the beach (not easy) so the boat stays dry and protected.
