[#18329]

On Sunday 8/20/06 someone took my prindle 16 with benches from the bayfront near Fire Island Summer Club on the Great South Bay (without sails). I don’t know if their intention was to obtain sails or use the boat for parts. Any information about the boat would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Shawesq9@aol.com, 917-562-4696

Can you describe the boat in more detail so that others can be on the lookout??

Hmmm, sounds familiar. Denis & Marie, who have a Gemini 31 cat, had their h16 stolen from the beach btwn Cherry Grove and Sailors Haven two weeks ago. I believe they found it in front of a house on ocean beach. The stolen boat was recovered with the name sanded off, and a new rudder. Email me for their phone number.

Updated Description of Prindle 16 stolen just west of Fire Island Summer Club Sunday morning 8/20/06. White hulls Powder blue on top of hulls, white rudders, black tramp (that was already

trashed

so it is stitched), benches with black tramps (one of which was trashed before and is duct taped)- last summer this boat was vandalized/ trashed and a few of the curse words were still written on the boat and mast. i had just repaired it from last summer's debaucle on Saturday and sailed it for the first time this summer. i would appreciate any information about the boat and the hobie 16 that was stolen about two weeks ago at cherry grove since it appears as though there is a thief on the great south bay interested in Cats.
