Help !

Has anyone got some good images or diagrams of a downhaul system that can be easily used from trapeze and that retracts excess rope below the trampoline ? I expect that a continuous loop would be the way to go but I'm not sure how to execute it. <img src=

Any feedback would be appreciated. <img src=

Ben,

Thanks for the reference to the gallery. I can sort of make out what happens under the trampoline but I need some closer images and further detail. I've even heard rumours that some of the F18 guys take the downhaul rope out with them on trapeze and it's permanently attached to the trapeze wire. Now wouldn't that be cool !! <img src=

Hi Peter,

haven't seen anything that works attached to trapeze so you don't have to lean in to gunnel to adjust it. I have tried a set up I use to use for Vang on my Contender, but you just move to far on a cat, I couldn't get the tails right, so gave up.

Would love to see any bodies ideas.

Regards Gary. <img src=

Went out and crewed last weekend and the boat I was on had the downhaul firmly tied to the shockcord under the crews trap so as you go out it follows you some of the way. I found it very practical.
regards

Hi Jeff,

thanks for the reply, you have me thinking. But I am having trouble picturing the setup. Can you give more description?

Regards Gary. <img src=

Guys,

Thanks for the feeback and images to date. Keep them coming. <img src=

alt=

/> It's made me think a bit more about a new setup. Still trying to get my head around a continuous loop system with shockcord. Would love to get rid of the existing trapeze shockcord and use a downhaul system to do the same function. Ideas anyone ???

Regards,

Peter <img src=
