[#29931]

hi all
just trying to line up my hulls
I am not experienced enough in this class to have any data
is there to be toe in or toe out at static standing
and what would be the toe in toe out under load
I think I should of started to investigate is before the start of the season this is why i want to get the boat lined up
I am going to the wild cat regatta so I want my mossie to go ok with possibly 90 boats I don't want to disgraced the mossie brand
thanks for any help

Hi Brett,

usualy boats should be set up with a few mill of toe out, which brings them in line under load. the important part is the beam bolt holes are tight as this is where the movement starts.

Also rudder alignment is very important, they should be parralell when straight ahead. Check this with rudders locked down, measuring the centreline at the leading and trailing edges of the rudder blades.

There is quite a good tuning manual that covers alot of this stuff available from the Mossie assoc website, from The Shop.
