Hi all,

Have a look at this post on the Catsailor Open Forum. One hell of a way to build a class.

Here. http://www.catsailor.com/forums/sho... 7&an=0&page=0#Post105277

Make sure you scroll through all the pages and look at the photo's, some amazing stuff <img src=

Imagine doing this in OZ on Mossies <img src=

Only problem I see is Aussies Top A Sailor - Glenn ASHBY, Top olympic sailors - Glenn ASHBY and Darren BUNDOCK, Top Hobie (Tiger) Sailors - Glenn ASHBY and Darren BUNDOCK, Top F18 Sailors - Glenn ASHBY & Darren BUNDOCK. Noticing a trend. <img src=

/> I think we might have them stumped on the youth team, though. <img src=

Hi Colmc,

U.S. does it on a regional basis plus some others, Olympic Youth etc. if we followed suit, this could split up Bundock, Ashby. <img src=

alt=

/> That could be a good thing seeing them head to head <img src=

If there were enough new fay mozzies (6-10)in this new batch.
It would be great to some how have a youth aust regatta using these boats sponsored by different companys then people could purchace these boats race prepared after the event. <img src=

After all the mozzie would be the best learner boat before tornato <img src=

More pics to make you want to go sailing....

http://www.floridamultihullsailor.com

Some more info on the Alter cup, disregard if you want:
The Alter Cup is US Sailing's Multihull National Championship. 10 identical boats are provided by a manufacturer for 20 teams to compete for the title. The teams qualify by winning a regional event (on their own boat on US handicap #s), by representing the major manufacturer's, by representing the Olympic class or by

petition

(stating your case as to why you should be included in the event). All 20 teams rotate through the boats throughout the regatta in some round-robin format (eventually splitting into a A and B fleet). The boats are then sold at a discount rate on a first come, first served basis.

Imagine...

Sorry if I have a smile guys but this is exactly what some of us have been saying for years....once upon a time we had Youth accreditation, now if we could get it back.

The key is to find the sponser, the support and the numbers of youths to make this happen and yes we could have our own version of the Alter Cup and champiions in the making
