Hi Brian,

I will have a look at Zipper luffs see what they are like, haven't looked recently, let you know what is available. I don't need the Forestay I got with the boat or Bridle gear also have sheets, cleats and pulleys. Cleats attach to the hull, is that the style you are after?

Hi, none I have heard of. I have a new one on order. Have had a few ask though, I think it would be hard to find, what where you going to use it on?

A spin on my 4.4m AO is about the only way I would expect to keep up with Mozzies and Arrows that sail out of Woody Point in Brisbane.

AO's don't run a Jib but can handle a spin.

Ben is using a 2nd hand Javelin spinnaker on his Mozzie but it is a bit too big.
I tried a B14 spinnaker but that was REALLY big - had to sheet from the rear beam.
Maybe a Cherub spinnaker?

AO did have a jib but 99% of them are sailed cat rig.

A mono spinnaker will be too deep for a cat (you need a flatter one)when the boat accelerates the spinnaker will just collapse from the front to the back.
You should contact Darryl at the fiberglass factory in Adelaide he will be able to assist with jib or kite for an AO.

G'day Mate
Wondering if you had any of those jibs for sale? I was after a reasonable one hopefully a zipper luff. Possibly another for a mate as well. Postage to Port Noarlunga SA as well. Cheers Cam

Hi Cam,

sorry have been slow replying. been busy working on setting up Mossie for spinnaker, now that Spinnaker States are over I can take it all off again, time to practice for the Nats.

Sorry no zipper luff jibs left, would you be interested in non zipper luffs? Also Australia post wouldn't take the last jib, but no problem to send via Pack N Send.

Hi Cam,
Are you the red mossie sailing off Moana? We had 5 mossies at Normanville yesterday [ 11 cats in total] in what was a perfect day on the water. Normanville races start at 2pm each Sunday,
Cheers,
Roy, Mosquito 1770
